Cotopaxi province (see map) lies in the center of Ecuador, though nearer to its northern boundary. it borders Napo province to the east; Tungurahua and Bolívar provinces to the south; Los Ríos province to the west; Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas and Pinchincha provinces to the north.
